Please understand our Financial Agreement and the Methods of Payment for Rivendell. You also have the opportunity to apply for a Financial Scholarship.


Tutorial Fees

Grammar and Dialectic Tutorial Fee $1290

Rhetoric Tutorial Fee $1590

10% Sibling Discount for 2nd Full-Time Student

15% Sibling Discount for 3rd Full-Time Student


Additional Non-Core Course $325

A La Carte Courses $425

(with additional costs of books and supplies)

  Registration begins on February 1 and ends on June 15.

Application Process

  1. Read the Family Handbook, if you haven’t already done so.
  2. Complete the Rivendell Application form.
  3. Read and complete the appropriate signature page (the Returning Family Signature document for returning families, or the New Family Signature document for new families)
  4. To finalize your application, mail the signature page along with the an annual, non-refundable $125.00 (per family) application fee made payable to Rivendell Study Center, Inc to:

Note that (i) the application fee is reduced to $75.00 if you register by March 15 and (ii) this fee does not go toward payment of tutorial fees or books.

Registration Forms

Interview Process for New Families

  1. We will contact you to schedule an interview with you and the new student(s) with a Rivendell Study Center, Inc. (hereafter Rivendell) Board member(s) and/or the Head of Study Center at a mutually convenient time. In general, interviews are held between April 1 and May 31.
  2. The Board will notify the family of its decision to accept/decline admission based on the application, related forms, and interview. If the applicant is not accepted into Rivendell by the Board, the application fee will be returned. If accepted, please plan to attend a meeting for new families.

Preference for Full-time Students

Please note that preference will be given to those students applying for full-time admission. Enrollment for full-time applicants will remain open until June 15. Part-time applicants who may lose their spot will be notified of such and will be given the option of switching to full-time enrollment in order to retain their spot. After June 15, any open class spots will be filled on a first-come, first served basis without respect to full-time or part-time status. Therefore, no part-time student will lose his or her spot in a class after June 15, even if another application for full-time enrollment is received after June 15.
